A probability of detection of a fatigue crack or other damage with a probability of 90% and a reliability of 95% is among the reliable tools to ensure the inspection repeatability and the safety of the in-service of the individual structures. The goal is to determine the minimum detectable length a90/95 of a fatigue crack in a given structure.
To achieve the minimum detectable crack length, it is necessary to design a concept of POD module, which includes several phases of design, especially the design of test specimens, fatigue crack parameters, processing of measured data, fractographic analysis and non-destructive evaluation.
We use our experience and modern software for evaluation.
